Wedding by the Water

These two were an absolute delight to work with from our very first Skype session – there were always loads of laughs and giggles throughout our chats.

By the time we got to their ceremony, I felt like I was doing the ceremony for two lovely friends, far from being a traditional wedding celebrant.

Their love story began at Halloween after a dinner of dumplings in Auckland’s Dominion Rd which led them to their wedding by the water at The Wharf, Northcote Point – a great venue for a big wedding like this one, loads of different spaces to suit different times of the day and all with a stunning view of the harbour and when the sun goes down … a nighttime vista of a city sparkling like fairylights in the background. How gorgeous!

I loved the elements of their own different cultures that Anton & Beau brought to enhance their special day. They chose beautifully traditional vows to honour their love and then contrasted that with readings by Bob Marley and Winnie The Pooh!

Their outfit changes to reflect culture and occasion were incredible and the love in the room for these two, from everyone around them was just heartwarming and so beautiful.

All gorgeously candid moments throughout their day were captured perfectly by James and Cam – check out the stunning album of Beau & Anton’s day on their website.

In their own words … when they describe their relationship … “every day is just another day… but every day is full of extraordinary moments, every day is special.”

What a wonderful way to celebrate each other and their love, every single day.

Anton & Beau, I love your love! It was an absolute pleasure to be your celebrant!

Let’s have dumplings in Dominion Road sometime soon!
